OPEN: City Project Film DVD... 28 minutes, colour and B&W, sound. Observations, facts and lies - a day in the life of the post-industrial landscape, narrated and explored through the traces, spaces and places that define a city’s everyday existence.

“It is only after you have written so many descriptions of the city that you come to realise that your description of the city is the city. An accident of syntax or a spelling mistake can take what you have described and alter its architecture subtly, but indelibly. That the city you have written is actually a city that you have designed has only dawned on you recently. The decent thing to do (the only thing to do) is write down in your scratchy, illegible hand what words the city continues to show you, and what words you want the city to contain”.
